Green Laser Technology
The green laser pointer is significantly brighter (about 10 times) than a red laser pointer and because of its unusual color it is much more noticeable and crisp. The green laser has a wavelength of 532nm which is superior to a red laser with a 640 nm wavelength.
Laser technology is based on a Diode Pumped Solid State Frequency Doubled (DPSSFD) system and the typical green beam is at 532 nm.
Human eyes have peak sensitivity at around 555 nm. The DPSS green lasers are 532 nm which is quite close to that peak. Typical red lasers are around 670 nm to about 630 nm, much further from the peak.
Simply speaking our eyes are more sensitive to green light than they are to red light.
SMK-Link RemotePoint Series
Recognizing that the crisp, clean green laser would be ideal for presentations, SMK-Link has introduced the green laser pointer RemotePoint Jade a fully programmable presentation remote control that offers a bright green laser with 150' of wireless range for Mac and PC as well as the RemotePoint Emerald Navigator a fully programmable presentation remote control that offers a bright green laser with 100’ of wireless range for Mac and PC.
