Force Feedback Haptic Technology
Our revolutionary touch panel creates a tactile feedback to the user. This technology combines SMK’s exclusive Force Feedback with Immersion Corporation’s TouchSense® technology, to produce a fast tactile response synchronized with sound and graphics. The feeling generated simulates the press of an actual physical button or switch.
This technology represents a radical improvement in Human Machine Interface (HMI) design for mobile electronic systems by delivering a distinct tactile confirmation when the screen is pressed. Many different button sensations can be simulated.
One IC controller is required to operate the standard “X” and “Y” matrix reading mechanism found on the 4-wire resistive touch panel. An additional IC controller is required for the haptic or, vibration mode of the panel
