The SMK America Group includes an ISO 9001:2008 (Quality Management System) and an ISO 14001:2004 (Environmental Management System) certified factory in Tijuana, Mexico with manufacturing space of 155,000 square feet, Engineering/R & D, and a devoted Sales staff to provide regional sales, customer service and distribution of SMK products from all over the world.

Our goal is to offer local vendor, local product whenever possible. By offering the capability of manufacturing in-house, we can control costs, quality and on-time delivery to the customer's satisfaction. Our Mexico facilities (established in 1988) have tremendous diversity in both machinery and personnel to handle: automated surface mounting, injection molding, auto insertion, wave soldering, tampo pad printing, screen printing, membrane printing, manual and robotic spray painting, in clean-room facilities (if required) to final assembly SMK manufacturing always places great emphasis on quality control.

Engineering and R & D (Chula Vista, California)

To support our customers' always changing requirements, SMK's engineering team offers: in-house 3D design capabilities (electrical, mechanical, industrial, software and packaging), product qualification (DVT, PVT and RVT) rapid prototyping, and agency approvals (UL, CSA, TUV, CE, FCC) for products manufactured at our Mexico facilities.
